Kingsborough Community College

The Advisement Time Line

Ensuring a successful academic career at Kingsborough The Kingsborough Time LineCommunity College has its foundations in the advisor/counselor relationship. Through this relationship, the student can explore the college as well as the vast opportunities available to the student upon graduation with the guidance and support of their advisor/counselor. In turn, maintaining this relationship becomes the mutual responsibility of advisor/counselor and student.

Students should keep the following in mind:
  • Students must meet with an advisor/counselor in order to receive permission to register.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to keep their appointment with their advisor/counselor.
  • Prior to their meeting with their advisor/counselor students should have an idea of what courses they would like to take.
  • Students who are planning to register for the Winter or Summer Module should inform their advisor/counselor during their respective Fall and Spring appointment.
Beginning of the Fall Semester
First semester freshmen need to register in person.

Students will then choose their schedule and register for their classes utilizing the online system. Registrar and Evening Studies personnel will assist students in familiarizing themselves with the system.
