Concentration Options
Students must choose one option,
either Tourism or Hospitality

Tourism
This option prepares students for employment in travel agencies, tour operations, airlines, airports and cruise lines, among others.
Students must choose 2 required electives from the list below. All courses are 3 credits
Hospitality
Professional positions in hotels, restaurants, catering facilities, expositions and convention venues are the focus of this option.

Students interested in work with travel agencies, tour operators, airlines and the like, would choose a and b. Those wanting to work in airports, port authorities & government agencies would choose c & d.
Those wanting to work in hotels, associations, convention bureaus & trade shows would choose
a, & d. Those seeking careers in food service, catering & institutional food service would
choose b & c.

Departmental Electives
