Biology 11 Competency Measure -

Demonstrate Structure-Function Relationships using the Dissected Cow’s Eye.

Allied Health Program: Program Outcome 1 - Demonstrate knowledge of basic concepts of anatomy and physiology.

Directions: PART I - Using a dissected eye, students identify and explain the function of FIVE (5) structures from the list presented.

PART II - From the list in PART II, the student will explain one eye function.

This assessment is graded according to the following criteria. Passing grade is 70%.

Image projection on the retina in a normal and either a farsighted eye or nearsighted eye
the pupillary reflex
the formation and circulation of aqueous humor and its significance

Score - 25 points maximum
