Professor
Hernandez is the author of Estilos decadentes, deseos femeninos
(2004). She has written about a wide variety of topics related
to literary and cinematic representations in Spain and Latin America,
mainly modern and postmodern period, colonial and postcolonial.
Her publications have appeared in Romance Notes, Romance
Review, Cuadernos de ALDEUU, and Lenguaje y Textos.
She is currently working on a book about relationships between
politics and literature in different Hispanic contexts. She was
given three awards for excellence in teaching and was nominated
to the Teaching Levenson Memorial Prize at Harvard University
(2001-2004).
