Professor Angela Aurora Toscano is a lecturer of Italian Language, Italian Cinema, and coordinator of the Italian Program at Kingsborough Community College. She has a BS from the Graduate Center in Italian and a minor in Photography, where she was the recipient of the Thomas W Smith Academic Fellowship, The STOCS Grant, and the Rusart Photography Scholarship. She has an MA from Queens College in Italian Literature.

As a bilingual poet, Professor Toscano has received several awards for literary excellence from the Iliat Press and from the International Library of Poets. She has also participated and won in many Italian poetry contests through the Italian Radio Station. She has published several Italian songs and she is presently working in publishing a poetry book.

Prof. Toscano is an active member of the International Society of Poets; American Society of Composers Authors; Italian American Writers Association, Italian American Labor Council Inc., and the Cinema Art Center.
