CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Roof Replacement Project
Kingsborough's campus-wide roof replacement effort continues with roofing work on the north roof area (above the stage) of The Leon M. Goldstein Performing Arts Center (PAC) Building. Building envelope repairs are also part of the scope of work for this project.
Work at the PAC began in August, 2011 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of November, 2011 (weather permitting).
Fire Alarm Upgrades
Phase 2 of the campus-wide Fire Alarm Upgrades project began in August, 2010.
The Health and Physical Education Center (G) Building, The Robert J. Kibbee Library (L) Building and the Arts and Sciences (S) Building will receive a series of fire alarm upgrades which will bring these buildings up to current Codes.
In order to avoid disruption to College operations and classes, most of the high noise generating operations are being performed after 11 PM.
All work is scheduled for completion by the end of November, 2011.
