Courses must be activated for use with Blackboard. To have course(s) activated, faculty should email the Kingsborough Center for Advanced Technology Training (KCATT) (kcatt@kbcc.cuny.edu) with the following information: instructor name, course name, course section, and course code. KCATT will ask an instructor who is new to Blackboard to come to KCATT (L705) for an orientation and will register the instructor for a Blackboard workshop.

Please note that in the Fall and Spring semesters, CUNY chooses a date when activated courses become visible to instructors. Before that date, no course will be visible, even if a request for activation has been made. For activation requests made after that date, and for Summer and Winter module requests, once KCATT has confirmed by email that a course has been activated, it takes a day or so for the course to be visible to the instructor. However, a course is not visible to students until the instructormakes the course available.
