Beginning this Fall 04 semester, the Blackboard 6.1 system has been centrally implemented and running at CUNY 57 th street. The system is available 24/7 and can be accessed from anywhere through your PC browser. In the past, accessing Blackboard required that you provide batch files to register and enroll your classes.
Now all student and faculty information are captured from the various information systems and are available to Blackboard.

If you are new to blackboard, you will need a CUNY Portal login ID.

Creating a Portal ID

Using your Netscape or Internet Explorer browser ( AOL is not compatible), enter the CUNY portal address http://www.cuny.edu and press enter. You will see the CUNY main page.

• Click on Log-in (located on the left side. Scroll down if you do not see it)

• Click on Register Now from the above screen You will see the following:

Be sure to enter the information as on record and

• Click Confirm.

The system will verify the information and prompt you for a user id and password.
If the information you entered fails system verification, you will get the message
