CFK Six Year Old Program |
CKS05 CFK Six Year Old Program
College for Kids for 6 year olds is a perfect introduction into the College for Kids Program. It is separate from the older children, yet grown up and exciting activities are presented. We offer fun and learning while making use of the resources on the college campus. We feel that the school year is stressful and often overwhelming for children and we want our program to be fun. We have activities that children will learn from but will also allow them to imagine, create, explore and have fun. We believe that in play and through interaction with their peers and instructors, they learn.
We will learn about ecology, recycling, pollution and what we can do to help save our earth as we explore the area around us. We will visit the KCC Aquarium, the art exhibit and science center in the Science Building, walk on the beach, collect shells, tell stories, read books, and do craft projects. There will be group games and cooperative problem-solving activities. We dance and sing, will cook, do science experiments,
play indoor and outdoor sports as Teams (we have our own fenced in play area and a sprinkler for cooling off), learn and play board games, cards and computer activities.
