| The community college has in recent
years emerged as one of the most intellectually energetic sites
for critical examination of cultural practices and social relations
for public pedagogy. In this tradition of inquiry and open discussions,
Safe Zone, coordinated by Steve Amarnick (English) and Jose'
Nanin (Health, Physical Education, and Recreation), and KTCL
are co-sponsoring a sexuality reading group, faciliated by Julie
Torrant (English). Come and participate in discussions about
questions of desire, love, heterosexism, and homophobia. The
purpose of the reading group is to broaden the debates and,
among other things, examine how issues of sexuality and desire
can be addressed in the classroom. For more information or to
