Biography

Lucille Cichminski, RN, MSN, is an instructor of Nursing at CUNY Kingsborough Community College.  She currently serves on the Nursing Curriculum Committee, Faculty Development Committee, P&B Committee, Nursing Club Committee, and APR Committee.  She is the Chair for the NLN Standard 3 sub-committee, and the Liaison to the Physical Science Department.  Ms. Cichminski is Coordinator of Nursing 17 (Medical Dosage Calculation) and has piloted a mandatory Math Challenge Exam this semester.  Ms. Cichminski’s interests focus around the oncological and neurological disorders of the human body as well as Dimensional Analysis Math Calculations as it relates to prevention of medication errors.  Ms. Cichminski has previously taught in Saint Vincent’s School of Nursing and The College of Staten Island.  In addition, she has practiced nursing in various hospitals where her field of expertise focused on Critical Care Nursing and Nursing Administration.  Ms. Cichminski served as a nursing supervisor for a large, government hospital.
