Academic Calendar

Kingsborough conducts classes on an innovative, academic calendar. Classes are held during a 12-week Fall semester, which starts in September and ends in late December. This is followed by a 6-week Winter module, which ends during February. A 12-week Spring semester starts at the beginning of March and ends in the middle of June. This is followed by a 6-week Summer module which continues until the end of July.
All full-time matriculated students in the degree programs are required to attend both 12-week semesters. Students who attended the previous 12-week semester and paid for full time (12 or more credits or equated credits) may attend the following 6-week module at NO ADDITIONAL TUITION.
Other advantages the 6-week modules offer is the opportunity to take added courses that, in some programs, may make it possible to earn the Associate Degree in less than two full years.
