If your abstract is accepted for presentation you MUST register for the conference (please register at the discounted member rate). Submission of an abstract implies a commitment to make the presentation at the conference.
Criteria for Judging Abstracts:
- Relationship to conference theme: Does the abstract relate to the theme or sub-themes?
- Sound conceptual framework: Does the abstract describe a theory-based intervention, skill, or research project?
- Appropriate content: Is the content substantive?
- Usefulness: Is it useful to practicing health educators, researchers, and/or academicians? Is it made clear how this project, research, skill, or information can be applied?
- Innovativeness: Does the abstract represent research, a program a project, a skill, or information that is unique, new, different, or creative?
- Clarity of Abstract Content and Format: Does the abstract clearly outline what the presentation is about and what will be covered and to what extent?
- Overall reaction: Considering the above criteria, what is your overall reaction?
Notification and Communication
- You will be notified by e-mail when your proposal has been received, regardless of submission method.
- All communication concerning multiple-presenter proposal submissions will be directed to the session coordinator only. The session coordinator is responsible for sharing information with other session presenters.
- Applicants will be notified by regular mail or e-mail whether their proposal was accepted or declined on or before May 1, 2007.
All presenters will receive a formal letter of acceptance along with information about registering for the conference. Conference information will also be available on the Kingsborough Community College website at Inner Leader Conference
