Bounded on three sides by water – the Atlantic Ocean, Jamaica Bay and Sheepshead Bay – Kingsborough enjoys a spectacular natural setting. Graceful campus architecture adds to the natural beauty of the beachfront campus.


Kingsborough boasts a number of special facilities, including:

• A college marina that is the home of the college’s Maritime Technology Program
• An aquarium.  
• Two gymnasiums and an indoor pool.  
• The 743-seat Leon M. Goldstein Performing Arts Center and the 300-seat Playhouse.  
• A 1,600 square foot Art Gallery.  
• The Marine and Academic Conference Center, a 12,000 square foot facility that is the site of numerous community and university-related events. 

Founded in 1963, the College serves approximately thirty thousand students per year, offering a wide range of credit and non-credit courses in the liberal arts and career education, as well as a number of specialized programs.
