| Best of Brooklyn
We are pleased to invite you to our first annual This Fair will be held on Thursday, April 30th at Kingsborough Community College and will run from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This event will bring together students and recent alumni of 8 colleges within Brooklyn. Our consortium includes: Brooklyn College, Kingsborough Community College, Long Island University – Brooklyn Campus, Medgar Evers College, NYC College of Technology, Polytechnic Institute of New York University, St. Francis College, St. Joseph’s College, and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. We have formed this consortium to be able to offer employers the opportunity of reaching a broad spectrum of Brooklyn’s best all at one event! The Fair will feature recruitment representatives hosting tables in the Rotunda overlooking the bay and will be open to undergraduate students, graduating students, graduate students and alumni.
This fair is a very time and cost effective way for organizations to recruit the Best of Brooklyn. It will provide you with the opportunity to:
- Collect resumes from a diverse group of students who are interested in employment opportunities with your organization;
- Conduct mini-screening interviews on campus without having to send a recruiter for the entire day;
- Screen a large number of applicants in a short period of time;
- Draw from a large pool of applicants.
The registration fee is $200.00 for corporate recruiters and $125.00 for government and not-for-profit agencies. The registration fee covers: administrative costs, advertising and promotional materials, and brunch for two representatives for the day of the Fair. Additional lunches can be ordered in advance for $10. .
Set-up for the event starts at 9:00 a.m. in the Rotunda, 2nd floor of the Marine & Academic Center, 2001 Oriental Blvd., Brooklyn, N.Y. A brunch will be served from 9:30am – 10:30am. Should you wish to attend, please complete and return and enclosed data sheet so we can publicize your participation.
We look forward to having your organization represented. If I can be of any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me at (718) 368-5115 or Brian.Mitra@kbcc.cuny.edu. Space will be limited; registrations will be taken on a first come first serve basis, and will be up to the discretion of the consortium.
