| POSITION: | Vice President for Student Development |
| DUTIES: | The Vice President for Student Services and Enrollment Management reports to the President and is responsible for leadership in all areas within the scope of this division. The Vice President provides the vision for the programs that will enhance the student experience at the College, oversees strategic planning reflecting that vision, and supervises staff responsible for implementing those plans. The Vice President serves on the President's Cabinet and is an integral part of maintaining a close working relationship between the Student Affairs functions and the Office of the Provost/Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs to ensure coordination in all aspects of activities related to the student experience at the College. The Vice President is the primary liaison with student government organizations, and represents the College at all City University functions related to student affairs. The Division of Student Services and Enrollment Management comprises the following departments and functions: Student Services; Registrar; Admissions, including the Admissions Information Center; the Career Development and Women's Centers; Health Services and Special Student Services; International Students; Athletics and Recreational Sports; wellness and counseling activities; College Discovery; and various other student-related programs. |
| QUALIFICATIONS: |
The successful candidate must have extensive experience in supervising each of the areas within this Division, including the management of a diverse staff and proven or demonstrated commitment to diversity. The successful candidate must demonstrate a record of excellence in creative leadership and outstanding management of staff and functions in the areas of student affairs in a large, complex college with organizational characteristics and a diverse student body. S/he must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, and be able to demonstrate a record of developing excellent interpersonal relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administrators of a college. The successful candidate must possess at least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in senior administrative and student affairs positions. An appropriate doctoral-level degree is preferred. |
