Position Description and Duties
 

Kingsborough Community College is augmenting its applicant pool to fill vacancies which may possibly occur in the future.  All positions are subject to budget ability.

Under close supervision, performs work of ordinary difficulty in cleaning public buildings and their immediate grounds; performs related light labor duties; performs related work.

Examples of Typical Tasks:
Sweeping, damp mopping, and wet mopping floors, corridors, toilets, lobbies;
Cleaning washbasins and other toilet room facilities;
Dusting and polishing furniture;
Sweeping and removing snow from sidewalks and other walkways;
Scrubbing floors with electric machines; waxing and polishing floors;
Vacuuming floors, rugs and carpets;
Emptying wastebaskets/receptacles and disposing of refuse;
Dusting, removing, and cleaning Venetian blinds;
Performing other custodial duties.

 
Qualification Requirements
