Position Description and Duties |

The English Reading and Writing Center is building an applicant pool for possible openings during the academic year. The Reading and Writing Center has immediate day and evening openings for College Assistants/Tutors. The College Assistant/Tutor works individually and collaboratively with students who are part of the ESL and Developmental English sequence. |

Qualification Requirements |
||
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they possess sufficient skills to perform the duties of the job to which they are assigned. Maximum tenure for this class of positions is not to exceed 1040 hours per academic year. Higher education experience desired. The successful candidate must be proficient in all aspects of English, including: speaking, reading, writing, and critical thinking. Candidates must also understand writing as a process. Other required skills include: using questioning effectively; group management; and communication. |
