Position:          Job Placement Counselor /Part-Time Continuing Education Non-Teaching

Placement Counselor is a critical part of Capacity Building for this program. The candidate will be responsible for finding jobs for students participating in the Jobs To Build On Program. The candidate must demonstrate successful job placements for the past 12 months, with students completing Certificate/Vocational programs. The candidate will be responsible for follow-up with employers and jobseekers. The candidate will be an important front-line worker in the effort to establish KCC as a responsive, flexible training site.

Strong knowledge of job search strategies.

Ability to work with a diverse population.

Ability to work effectively with staff, associates and internal and external constituents.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, one-on-one and with groups.

Technology management and data skills are required.

Other duties as assigned.

Comments:

Position open until filled. Position will end in November 2008 with possibility for extension depending on candidate's and program's success.

Salary is negotiable based on experience and salary history.
