Liberty Partnership grant

KCC has been awarded a five-year, $2.25 million Liberty Partnership grant ($450,000 each year to serve 360 students). We will be working in collaboration with Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation and serving students located at the Thomas Jefferson campus who are identified as at risk of dropping out. The Thomas Jefferson Campus has four high schools: High School for Civil Rights, Captain Vernon A. Richard High School for Fire and Life Safety, Performing Arts and Technology High School, and World Academy for Total Community Health.

"This is an exciting partnership and KCC will spend the initial months planning and hiring the staff. We want to recognize Erika Delacruz’ leadership for this project and Mabel Chee's tremendous support in developing the application,” noted Provost Joanne Russell.
