WebLab1 - Exercise 3: Supplementary Problem

Another rival for your inheritance shows up in this second problem. Once again,
family trees are available for analysis. However the genetic system presented here is closer
to reality than in the previous problem. Here, the grey allele, G, is introduced which provides
a basis for understanding many of the differing eye colors in humans beyond blue and brown.

Predict the genotype and phenotype of the three undisclosed (blank) individuals in your
rival's family tree that would validate the claim to share in your inheritance.

The following genotype/phenotype key will help you interpret the eye colors in the family trees:

BB = dark brown   Bb = lighter brown than BB   bb = blue  GG = grey   Gb =greyish-blue   BG =hazel (greenish)
