Use of Beach Pass Guidelines Summer 2008

ENTRY
PROCEDURES

Bring only eligible guests as indicated.
Ensure that guests are prepared to sign liability waivers.
USE ONLY DESIGNATED ROUTE TO BEACH*

*Under no circumstances should individuals walk through the buildings to the beach area. Pedestrian access must be gained by following the baseball field and walking southbound until arriving at the beach.

VEHICLES Parking is by permit, after 1 p.m., Monday - Thursday, after 11 a.m., Saturday and Sunday, in designated areas only
Proceed to the Oriental Boulevard gate for parking instructions
Discharging of passengers should only be done when the vehicle is parked in an official parking space. Crossing or parking at the patio terrace is prohibited.
LOCKERS Available, at your own risk. Do not store valuables or currency in lockers. Padlock required.
WATER SAFETY Swim within your capability
Obey lifeguards
Closely supervise children and non-swimmers
No horseplay in water permitted
Do not throw objects in or about the water
FOOD Cooking is prohibited.
Trash is to be deposited in the receptacles provided or removed from premises.
INTOXICANTS STRICTLY PROHIBITED (includes beer and wine)
BALLPLAYING No throwing of objects permitted on beach, patio or in water.
Ball-playing on athletic field only (no organized games).
CLOTHING Footwear, shirts and/or cover-ups required in all areas, particularly in the Cafeteria—these items not required on the beach.
CHILDREN CLOSELY SUPERVISE CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES
A parent must escort minor children.
Parents are liable for child-caused damages.
As a courtesy to others please keep children clothed at all times (including outdoor showers).
FURNITURE Folding beach furniture and umbrellas are permitted.
College tables are for dining and not for game playing.
PATIO FURNITURE MAY NOT BE MOVED TO BEACH OR GRASS.
RESTRICTIONS Use only the beach lockers and beach restrooms.
Touring the college or use of its other facilities is not authorized.
Roped-off beach patio dining area is available ONLY to faculty, staff and students from 11a.m. to 2p.m., Monday to Thursday (This will be strictly enforced.)
Bicycles, strollers and beach chairs should not be brought through the buildings (use only designated route to beach).
