Buildings & Grounds – Custodial Services

Our Custodial Day Shift acts as the intermediate recovery staff along with the regular assignment that assists the Director of Events Management for each event that occurs on campus. This shift also cleans those areas that are not available during the evening hours. Currently, there are over 180 restrooms that require constant monitoring and restocking. Due to the occupation of classrooms and offices, only waste cans and trash are removed between the hours of 8:00 am –5:00 pm.

The Evening Shift works from 5:00 pm – 1:30 am and on weekends from 2:00 pm –10: 30 pm. During this period, the major cleaning process occurs. A custodian is assigned to clean approximately 20,000 square feet per shift.
