High School for the Sciences
The Leon
M. Goldstein High School for the Sciences is located on
the scenic, waterfront campus of Kingsborough Community College in
Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn. This college preparatory school offers
an intensive academic program, with special emphasis on science and
mathematics and includes the use of the College's resources, many
enrichment activities and guidance services. 
The school's curriculum
is comprehensive and carefully planned to meet and surpass the entrance
requirements for admission to all colleges and universities. In all departments,
the courses of study are kept current to meet New York State Regents standards.
In addition to required courses, students will have the opportunity to
pursue electives in areas of special interest, including advanced placement
courses. This
regular, comprehensive academic high school is a small citywide educational
option school with goals established collaboratively by the New York City
Board of Education and Kingsborough Community College of The City University
of New York. The program is one which personalizes students' education.
Classes and activities are conducted in the safe and inviting atmosphere
of the College. Furthermore, individualized guidance and tutorial programs
are available without an appointment. Sports and extracurricular activities
are included in the school program.
