A Reminder for all students receiving TAP from the TAP Office (Room P-204):

You must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits/contact hours WITHIN YOUR CURRICULUM (MAJOR) to receive a full-time TAP award.

Courses that comprise your curriculum include:

• College-Wide Requirements: courses which students must take (degree and certificate program requirements). Consult the College Catalog for additional information.
   
• Group Requirements
   
• Department Curriculum Requirements
   
• Developmental (remedial) courses
   
• A limited number of free electives

Included in the above must be a minimum of 3 academic (college degree credits) during your first TAP payment term, and a minimum of 6 academic credits during every TAP payment term thereafter.

Selecting Appropriate Courses:
FIRST, log into E-SIMS to VERIFY YOUR MAJOR. To do this, view YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

If your major is INCORRECTLY listed (except for Nursing or Surgical Technology students), file a Change of Curriculum Form with the Registrar's Office, Room A-101, BEFORE the semester deadline dates; consult the College's Academic Calendar for filing deadlines.

Remember, your TAP eligibility is dependent upon the courses you take which are required for your OFFICIAL major.
