| The Wall of Fame is a visual display honoring distinguished alumni for their outstanding academic and professional accomplishments. "When you look at the Wall, you can't help but be inspired by past students who have gone on to succeed in the community," said Anthony Andrews, a second year Kingsborough student.
The inductees are chosen by a committee of 11 faculty members, chaired by Business Professor Rose Litvack. According to Professor Litvack, the committee accepts nominations from faculty and staff members, and then selects individuals who have made significant social contributions, done something innovative or achieved unusual success in business or academia. "The Wall is there to honor our former students, and it also shows current students that anything is possible if you are willing to work for it," she commented.
TO THE COLLEGE COMMUNITY: Kingsborough Community College's Wall of Fame honors graduates who have accomplished outstanding things. Each year, several former students are recognized with an installation of plaques on the Wall of Fame outside room U-213. We need your assistance in identifying candidates for this honor. If you know anyone who graduated from Kingsborough five or more years ago who meets any of the criteria listed below, please complete the NOMINATION FORM and send to Prof. Rose Litvack (room M-355, mail code BUS).
An appropriate candidate for the Wall of Fame would be a person who, after graduating from Kingsborough, has done any (or several) or the following:
1. made a significant social contribution
2. succeeded in work which is difficult or entails considerable responsibility
3. done something innovative
4. earned public recognition
5. succeeded in a prestigious occupation
6. overcome great difficulties or handicaps
7. achieved unusual academic success
8. achieved unusual financial success
