Erika Delacruz is a program administrator with years of experience in the areas of program management, budget preparation and supervision.

Ms. Delacruz has vast knowledge and institutional history of the entrance and testing guidelines and procedures for the Department of Education high schools and the City University of New York.

She is responsible for the daily operation of the College Now, New Paths, DYCD Work, Learn, Grow and Liberty Partnership transition programs which serve 57 New York City public high schools. She also works with the Early College Initiative (ECI) program in the Lafayette Complex, Brooklyn, New York.

Ms. Delacruz oversees all aspects of education quality and teaching delivery in all the programs. She works with course coordinators to update and enhance course curriculum, creates and administers program budget, compiles program statistics and reports and serves as liaison to the CUNY Central Office and the New York City Department of Education.

Dom Brucculeri is the program manager for College Now and oversees the enrollment, teaching schedules, and academic records for all participating students. Mr. Brucculeri works closely with high school counselors and coordinators, college faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure a smooth transition and a successful academic experience. We strive to put our students first and increase their access to higher education. By embracing creative, digital solutions we can better collaborate with our program partners and foster student success.

Sari Schoenfeld has multiple years of experience in the NYC Department of Education holding various roles such as a PSAL coach, a substitute teacher, and a part-time Guidance Counselor. This background has helped her quickly adjust to the CUNY environment and relating to our College Now students.

Ms. Schoenfeld is responsible for payroll of the entire College Now staff, including Program Coordinators, Program Counselors, Instructors, Course Coordinators, and all new staff members of the different programs that fall under the umbrella of Collaborative Programs. Ms. Schoenfeld guides the program’s new candidates through the application and hiring process including all documents that need to be completed and submitted in order for the candidates to be processed correctly. She is also responsible for purchasing and ordering supplies and equipment for the College Now program and office.

She serves as the liaison between College Now and various offices such as Human Resources, Bursar, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing.

Ms. Schoenfeld oversees the College Now Summer Culinary Program. She has worked with course coordinators and other instructors to update and enhance the SD course curriculum, while also being a Student Development Adjunct Lecturer in the College Now program.

Jeff Simon is the New Paths Co-Director. He has Over 39 years of experience in the field of education, encompassing numerous administrative, leadership and pedagogical responsibilities. His leadership experience includes: High, Middle and Elementary School Principal; Assistant Principal of Operations, Guidance, Pupil Personnel Services, Organization, Foreign Language, Culinary Arts, Business, Special Education, English and Security; he also has experience as a Peer Mediation Coordinator; Coordinator of Student Activities and Program Chairperson. He has taught at all grade and academic levels including Graduate, Undergraduate, ELL and Special Education. Additionally, he has mentored many teachers working on their master’s degree through their internships.

He works very closely with Ms. Delacruz on the daily operation of the College Now, New Paths, DYCD Work, Learn, Grow and Liberty Partnership Transition programs which serves 57 New York City public high schools. He also works with the Early College Initiative (ECI) program in the Lafayette Complex, Brooklyn, New York.

Mr. Simon will help oversees all aspects of education quality and teaching delivery in all the programs with specific emphasis on the New Paths Program. He works with CUNY supervisors and building support personnel to ensure all students in the New Paths Program are given every opportunity to earn work-based credentials and have access to college courses to enhance their marketability and future success. He serves as liaison to the CUNY Central Office and the New York City Department of Education and reports directly to Ms. Erica Delacruz, the College Now Academic Program Director.

Lawrence Orsini

New Paths Assistant Director

Lawrence Orsini is the Assistant Director of the New Paths Program.  He has over 35 years’ experience in the field of education, encompassing numerous administrative, leadership, and pedagogical responsibilities. His leadership experience includes High School Assistant Principal of Social Studies. In this role he was responsible for supervising and mentoring Social Studies, Instructional Support Services, and ENL teachers. He was also responsible for mentoring and training newly appointed Assistant Principals. He conceptualized and developed the creation of the Law Academy, Model Congress, and Model UN programs. Additionally, through these programs he established internship programs with various institutions. He was instrumental in bringing the AP for All Program to his school significantly increasing the enrollment of students taking college level courses. He has taught all grade levels including ENL and Special Education.

Cecilia Proscia is the Program Specialist for the College Now Program in the Office of Collaborative Programs. 

Ms. Proscia has 31 years of experience in the field of Education.  Her experience includes being the Assistant Principal, Data Services and the Assistant Principal, Pupil Personnel Services at Susan E. Wagner High School in Staten Island, New York.   For 15 years, Ms. Proscia also served as the College Now Program Coordinator.  Prior to being an Assistant Principal, she taught Math and Computer Programming for grades 9 – 12.  Her early experiences in education included teaching the 4th – 8th grades.

Before returning to education in 1991, Ms. Proscia worked 11 years for a Fortune 500 international & domestic telecommunication company.  She worked in various departments from Accounting, Legal & Regulatory and Marketing as she moved up the corporate ladder.  In the position of Program Specialist in the Office of Collaborative Programs, Ms. Proscia’s responsibility includes reviewing and confirming that the planned instructional calendars for the various College Now courses being taught in the high schools are in compliance with required credit bearing hours.

Donna Turturro began her teaching career with the NYC DOE in 1985, first as a reading specialist, and later as teacher of speech and English literature. Later in her career, Donna served as a guidance counselor for at-risk youths, peer mediation specialist and scholarship coordinator. She retired from Franklin D. Roosevelt HS as the College Counselor for high performing youths. As a College Now program specialist, she supports academic integrity of various subject departments in the scheduling, collection, updating, and recording of classroom observations.

Maura Wynne is the Recruitment Coordinator for College Now among other projects for the Office of Collaborative Programs.

She has over 35 years of experience in education with the New York City Department of Education including teacher of Social Studies and Assistant Principal supervising varied departments of teachers and overseeing Career Technical Education programs. In addition, she acted as Field Supervisor for the Office of Talent Management and Innovation supporting teachers of varied subjects and grade levels across the city.

As a member of the Office of Collaborative Programs team, Ms. Wynne works with Kingsborough Community College Course Coordinators to develop and organize professional development sessions for teachers of College Now classes, interacts with program coordinators at participating high schools and supports the New Paths Program.

Giuseppa has been a Kingsborough employee since March 2017. She takes care of staff timesheets (HEOs, CAs, CLTs and NTAs). Giuseppa typically fills out food order requests forms (KCC Association), meeting room request forms (for in person events), schedules staff monthly meetings, schedules directors meetings, and updates daily calendar.
