With an experienced and dedicated faculty of clinician educators, a combined 1700
square feet of dedicated laboratory space, state of the art rehabilitation equipment,
custom web-based study aids, ample “in-house” computer access, and over 100 contracted
clinical education sites, the Physical Therapist Assistant program develops well qualified entry level physical therapist assistants who reflect the
ethnic and cultural diversity of the community which the college serves, and who function

The PTA program has a strong history of graduating competent clinicians ready to serve communities throughout the five boroughs and beyond. Our two-year license pass rate is 95% and 100% of our graduates are employed very soon following graduation.
The Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Kingsborough was initiated in 1999. Program graduates are awarded an A.A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant and are eligible for licensure and are employable throughout the United States. Hundreds of Kingsborough graduates have gone on to fashion rewarding and productive careers. The U.S. Department of Labor Statistics for 2023-2033 continue to list physical therapist assistant in the top ten fastest growing occupations. The Physical Therapist Assistant Program is a rigorous and selective program that prepares students to succeed in the field.
