Faculty Development Groups

Navigating Higher Ed as Adjunct Faculty

Description:

As adjunct faculty, it’s easy to feel disconnected—coming to campus just to teach, then heading home. This Faculty Interest Group (FIG) aims to change that by building a supportive community where part-time faculty can share experiences, exchange ideas, and learn about the many resources available at Kingsborough.

We’ll host guest speakers on topics like:

  • Adjunct advocacy
  • Health insurance, pensions & other benefits
  • Opportunities for promotion & sub-lines
  • Campus resources you may not know about

Most importantly, this group will be a welcoming space to ask questions, connect with peers, and grow together as educators.

All are welcome—come as you are!
