Faculty Scholarship Circles

The Faculty Scholarship Circles are research and writing communities where faculty members can join year-long cohorts based on their disciplinary backgrounds and interdisciplinary interests to explore research questions, creative works, writing projects, and other scholarly activity. Scholarship Circles are open to all full-time faculty members at any stage of their careers at Kingsborough.

Each Scholarship Circle is led by two facilitators, each of whom are associate or full professors with an established record of creative and/or scholarly work, and who possess a deep interest in and commitment to mentoring and supporting their colleagues. The Scholarship Circles will meet at least eight times over the course of the year and will offer participating faculty a cohort of supportive colleagues with whom they can discuss their projects and receive feedback on their work.

Cohorts are limited to approximately five faculty members per scholarship circle, and faculty participants will receive a total of one-hour of reassigned time for their participation.
