Transcript Requests

Kingsborough Community College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
A Kingsborough transcript is a complete record of a student's enrollment in courses. Two types of transcripts are available official and unofficial (also known as a student copy).

Official transcripts are sent directly to other colleges and employers. In some special circumstances, an official transcript may be provided to you in our sealed envelope which should only by opened by the intended recipient.
However, an official copy will not be sent to your home address; only a student copy will be sent. You can request an unofficial copy for your own records.

Note to currently enrolled students - you have access to your grades through CUNYfirst.
Partial transcripts are not available.

Kingsborough does not provide on-the-spot transcripts to students to bring to other colleges in the CUNY system. These transcripts must be mailed directly to other CUNY colleges. The only allowable exception is if a college within CUNY gives the student a letter requesting a hand-delivered transcript; in such cases, the request must be on the official letterhead of the requesting college.

Kingsborough will not provide copies of another institution's transcript that we may have in our possession, whether or not it is part of your academic record. The only exception to this policy is international student requests which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Transcript requests cannot be processed if you have an outstanding financial obligation to the College.

ONLY THE STUDENT OR FORMER STUDENT CAN REQUEST A TRANSCRIPT.
Photo identification will be required for in-person and written requests. Online requesters will provide identification proof through a series of matched data elements and by use of their credit card.
